Mawela Community Development was founded in 2009 and officially registered as a Non-Profit Organization in 2014. Our primary focus is on enhancing community health, ensuring food security,
providing access to clean water and sanitation, offering disaster relief, fostering community development, and empowering women. We primarily serve vulnerable populations, including orphans, the elderly, children, youth, and female-headed households. We also prioritize groups such as survivors of gender-based violence, displaced children, adolescents, and young women.

Over the years, we have created significant value for the communities we support through strategic partnerships with relevant stakeholders in both the private and public sectors. We deliberately seek collaborations with organizations that share our principles, values, and commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Moreover, by engaging with communities, our projects align with national frameworks and provincial developmental strategies aimed at socio-economic interventions.
Understanding that the challenges we face are ever-evolving, we consistently adapt our objectives, processes, and outcomes. Our goal extends beyond merely providing food for those in need; we aim
to implement sustainable solutions that help break the cycle of poverty.
